Diffusing
photons in a multiply scattering medium, like colloidal suspension
provides information about the static and dynamic properties, as
diffusing-wave spectroscopy (DWS) and diffuse-transmission spectroscopy
have shown. Recent experiments have applied DWS to foam. We aim to
understand and explain the experimental observation. |

particles are an ideal system for studying 2D ordering and melting as the
individual particle positions and dynamics can be directly visualized.
Using numerical simulations, we study colloidal crystalline states
realized on square an triangular 2D periodic substrates. |
