13th Meeting on Reasearch Astronomy, January 27-28, 2009 and "Astronomy Before And After Galileo" January 29-30, 2009 |
The 13th Meeting on Research Astronomy will be held at IASBS 27-28 Januay 2009. The aim of the meeting is to bring together scientists in different fields of astrophysics and cosmology to present their recent results and to create an atmosphere for discussion on different topics. On the occasion of 2009 the Internional Year of Astronomy, IASBS will hold a 2-day meeting entitled "Astronomy Before and After Galileo" January 29 - 30, 2009. Several distinguished astronomers and science historians from around the world have been invited to speak at the meeting:
