The institute for Scientific Information (ISI) has chosen Prof. Babak Kaboudin of the Department of Chemistry as one of the 2012 highly-cited researchers of the world. The ISI Highly-Cited, is a list of science researchers from around the world whose pubilcations are most often cited in academic journals in the previous decade. Only one percent of world researchers in a number of major scientific disciplines can make it to this list. Prof. Babak Karimi, also of the Department of Chemistry, has been an ISI highly-cited researcher since 2006, as well. This year 48 Iranian scientists are among the ISI Highly-Cited.
